excess of 40 years of business experience including insurance and
reinsurance in the United States, Europe and the Middle East. Currently
serves as full time commercial arbitrator and to the insurance and
reinsurance industry. Prior work experience includes responsibilities in

Domestic Work Experience:
Insurance and Reinsurance:
As an executive of Insurance and Reinsurance Company, was responsible for ceded and assumed reinsurance program placement, audits, commutations, liquidations, and arbitration and litigation management, underwriting and marketing commercial excess and surplus lines, and specialty lines programs.
As Chairman of the run-off Committee of a pool of reinsurers, which was a part of the largest insurance company liquidation in the U.S., was in charge of oversight of the workings of this pool, including but not limited to billings, commutations, arbitration and other related administrative matters.
As president of a U.S. insurance company licensed in 47 states, and vice-president of an affiliated reinsurance company, was responsible for the placement of outward reinsurance, acceptance of inward reinsurance, underwriting and marketing specialty programs, captive arrangements and managing general agency operations management.
As an officer of a large domestic insurance company, underwrote, marketed and managed a book of large primary casualty and property, excess, surplus lines, specialty, direct, reinsurance (facultative and treaty), domestic, and international business.Worker's compensation:
Developed an in-depth working knowledge in the various retrospectively rated programs paid and incurred losses with a keen understanding of retrospective adjustments and claims handling. He handled a large number or arbitrations involving disputes both between insureds and their insurers as well as insurers and their reinsurers.Long Haul Trucking:
Underwrote long haul trucking business in all states for all casualty, property and cargo lines. These programs included fronting arrangements, large deductibles, retentions and retrospective rating.Energy:
Developed a working knowledge of large energy operations including oil and gas drilling, oil and gas pipeline construction, energy related products, transportation and long haul trucking. He was extensively involved in industrial engineering, industrial hygiene, risk evaluation, risk improvement and on-the-job worker's safety.Offshore Reinsurance Company and Liquidations:
Served as a member of the Committee of Inspection of Mentor Insurance Company (in Liquidation) "Mentor". This committee was in charge of oversight of the Liquidation. Mentor was a Bermuda Company and the Committee met approximately once every quarter for the purpose of dealing with a large number of issues involving this: the Largest Reinsurance Liquidation in history.Banking and Financial Services:
During employment with a large European financial institution, developed an extensive knowledge in international banking operations including Cambio (international currency exchange), Letter of credits as they relate to import and export operations and general commerce, lines of credit, Offsets, financial guarantees and the financing of large commercial projects.
International Work Experience:
Privatization Projects and Financing:
Successfully handled bidding though International-U.S. law firms of large privatization projects for third world countries attempting to secure compliance with international regulations for the purpose of gaining admittance into the World Trade Organization (WTO). This work involved identification of the competent law firm in the third world country, connecting the local law firm to the U.S. law firms, and acting as facilitator for the conclusion of the proper cooperation agreement between the two law firms in order to provide the governments with an acceptable bid for the privatization of heretofore government owned industries The privatization projects included, but were not limited to, railroad, airlines, postal services, tourism, telephone and wireless services and highways.Islamic Sharia Law:
Extensive knowledge of Islamic Sharia Law and its various applications to marriage, inheritance, and investment, criminal, comparative and commercial law.Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience:
Since 1994, has developed practice as a full time commercial, insurance and reinsurance arbitrator. Primary area of expertise includes commercial, insurance and reinsurance disputes, arbitration and mediation. Has served as Chairman in over twenty commercial arbitration. Has also served as party appointed co-arbitrator, neutral or sole arbitrator in over one hundred and fifty arbitration. These arbitrations varied in size from $100,000 to $250 million. They involved issues including, but not limited to: summary judgment, rescission due to misrepresentations and mishandling of claims, asbestos and environmental liability, pollution, bad faith and extra-contractual obligations allocations, underwriting and claims disputes, financial risk underwriting, professional liability, builders risks, aggregate allocations disputes, number of occurrences, international shipping, attorney fees disputes, public relations, product liability, general liability, surplus lines and other general commerce, sub-prime mortgage securitization and commercial property and casualty disputes.

Underwriting Syndicates, insurance and reinsurance companies, large
Fortune 500 companies and foreign governments. During the years 1997 to
2008, he was involved in other international business areas including,
but not limited to: estate management, banking, family and business
trusts, real estate holdings, litigation support and management to
public relations and asset recovery and collections. During this period,
he worked diligently with international law firms, bankers, real estate
agents, and Notary public and estate administrators. Successfully
assisted clients in the recovery, collections, liquidation of these
assets and their distribution to the rightful owners. This work involved
several continents and a large number of countries, jurisdictions and
nations.
He was also involved in several mediations, which included large
corporations and foreign governments.
He is a member of the American Arbitration Association and International
Centre for Dispute Resolution Commercial and International Roster of
Neutrals Arbitrators.
